They Don't "Own" U.S.!

Clint Eastwood addressed a chair during the 2012 Republican National Convention, stealing the spotlight from Mitt and the gushy presentations of his sweetheart, laying the foundation for the comedy tours of the GOP in 2012.

Sadly though, as Clint left the stage, he cried "And We Own This Nation!" from the Koch Brothers' playbook, I know.

Many at the GOP convention probably sighed with relief with a sense of grandiose power that they as individuals could actually "own" the United States.

But I was offended.

Woodie Guthrie cried similar words during the Great Depression of the 1930s, "This land is your land, this land is my land" but I think he was referring to a different kind of "ownership...."

Has the word, "ownership" in the United States of America morphed into a type of segregation that puts 1% of our population at the top of a segregated pyramid scheme, scam and secrecy forcing the many, the 99% down into slavery?
