Scientists add Fungicide to Neonicotinoid Pesticides as causes of Colony Collapse Disorder Destroying Bee Pollinator Populations
This article makes it clear that pesticides/fungicides lower the resistance to parasites.....so pesticides/fungicides are the primary trigger.....especially neonicotinoids that attack the ribosomes. This article makes a very good point, that analysis of sources of toxicity needs to include non-agricultural areas also, such as roadways and urban gardens. Our culture has become obsessed with destroying diversity in communities.....but I found that planting alternative, diverse and productive/wanted crops can fill in the voids, reducing the need for pesticides/fungicides (so "weeds" can't compete)......such as planting a diverse cover-crop (of selected species) to keep the "weeds" from growing....and that diverse culture forms rich, organic soil for a more resilient and productive/healthy crop. Could we try that please? Thanks. Check with the USDA NRCS on cover crops.
