Ronald Reagan seized control of our White House in
the Fall of 1980 during the Iran Hostage crisis….when the hostages were
miraculously released after he walked into the White House at Inauguration in
January, 1981……The staged stunt made Democratic President Carter look
"weak" to many as Reagan put on his cowboy hat that would usher in
George Bush Junior in 2000 illegitimately…..and the theatrics have continued
since then to strangle our nation's capitol into dysfunction…"drown(ing)
government in the bathtub" as GOP Guru Grover Norquist would put it
succinctly….betraying U.S., the American People and children of All.
Ronald Reagan's Reaganomics of scorched earth
privatization, deregulation, war profiteering at our expense, a shrinking
government of democracy and cost-shifting onto the many unsuspecting with
illusion of smoke and mirrors continues today, though fewer and fewer pay
attention to the details, dragged down by those that victimize the victims at
their expense.
George Bush Senior labeled Ronnie's Reaganomics as
"voodoonomics" in his debates with Reagan decades ago. Why?
After studying "Reaganomics" or
"voodoonomics" or privatization, deregulation for looting and
cost-shifting onto the vulnerable for 30 years, I agree with George Bush
Senior's assessment of "voodoonomics" of virtual illusion and mirage
as their definition of the word "economy" or budget…..but measuring
what?
Has the G.O.P. forgotten what they're counting?
The word root, "eco-" as in
"eco+nomic" and as in "eco+logic" means "house"
or "oikos" in Greek…..but not every house nurtures those within.
Some houses hurt and destroy those within….probably
assuming erroneously that the private self needs to push the other down to lift
the private self up…..
Humans need nature to produce the critical flows that keep humans alive day to day and minute to minute…..but some just don't get it…..and assume erroneously that the private self needs to push the other down to lift the private self up….that the private self needs to take from the other to get
for the private self…and that privatized cash profiteering justifies all…..on a privatized, immediate, obvious sphere speeding
dangerously through all, assuming erroneously that cash-flow flow flood
profiteering justifies all……but it does not.
They are wrong, very, very wrong,
wrong scientifically, wrong mathematically, wrong economically, wrong
economically, wrong morally and often wrong legally…..though rewriting history
and human books of law to lie that the immoral is human law…..human law a human
interpretation.
Those who seek a broader vision and interpretation
of life learn to understand the broader, more long-term, lasting public
infrastructure foundation and the shared flows that keep a public world and nature functional.
Unfortunately, Reaganomic's voodoononomists try to
limit vision and experience and environment to the obvious, to the privatized,
short-term/immediate and obvious walls and barriers of the linear asphalt and
concrete of hot urban confines…blocking vision and access in and out, erecting toll booths
for every movement causing stagnation of the entire system…..thick, dense walls to keep the
other out, out of fear.
Unfortunately, the cash-driven that limit their
vision to the obvious and try to keep the other out also…..blocking access to
scientific literacy that any need to grow abundant riches of the earth enough
to count in terms of human cash.
Unfortunately, the cash-driven American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC), the Heartland Institute and the Koch Brothers and the cash-driven fossil energy industries assume erroneously that privatized cash profiteering justifies all….
But they are wrong, very, very wrong…..conspiring to deny that humans have caused 150 years of emissions of carbon molecules that have caused our climate to heat to unstable and dangerous levels, melting the Arctic, causing the Jet Stream to turn weak, causing rising seas, acidifying the ocean, causing more frequent and intense monstrous storms never before see in in human history….costing too many too much while refusing to see or care. Criminals blind their selves to the costs and consequences of their actions also.
Unfortunately, the fossilized dirty energy industries keep climate change denial alive, pouring millions and billions of dollars into propaganda and virtual illusion and mirage to crush nature's genius……to crush nature's hidden genetic potentials that any need to grow abundant riches of the earth enough to count in human cash…..to crush and block efforts to divest from fossil fuels……and to invest in renewable energy use, production, infrastructure including a "smart grid" installations, research, development, education, entrepreneurship, "bright green businesses"……..
But some just don't get it……and are dragging all down.
We need real leaders of real vision and wisdom able and willing to reach beyond the immediate, the obvious, the privatized to change the course of history from a tailspin downward…..into a positive course upward to enable many to grow abundant riches of the earth enough to count in human cash.
